The diagrams reveal stages in the life of a silkworm and how silk cloth is produced.

It can be clearly seen that there are four main stages in the development of the silkworm, from eggs to adult moth and that the process of producing silk cloth involves five steps from silkworm cocoon to silk cloth.

The life cycle of the silkworm begins when eggs are laid on mulberry leaves by an adult moth. After ten days, each egg hatches and the silkworm larvae appear. These larvae have mulberry leaves as their main source of food. It then takes about four to six weeks for the larvae to produce silk thread and three to eight days to form their cocoon. After sixteen days, the adult moths emerge and the cycle begins again.

The silk cloth production process begins with the selection of a silkworm cocoon, which is then boiled in water. Upon boiling the cocoon, its silk threads are unwound. Each cocoon may produce up to 300 to 900 meters of threads. The threads are then twisted and dyed in different colors. The production of silk cloth ends with the weaving of dyed silk threads.
