It is true that young adults account for a relatively large proportion of the population in many countries, especially when compared to the percentage of senior citizens. From my point of view, the benefits of this situation far outweigh the drawbacks.

On the one hand, an obvious disadvantage of having a large number of young adult population is that these young people need guidance from the older generations regarding both personal or professional aspects. If there are too few senior citizens in a country, these young adults will face difficulties seeking some advices from the elderly. For example, many executive positions in companies require people who are experienced and senior in order to lead and cultivate the young employees.

Despite the downsides mentioned above, I still believe that this situation is advantageous. One of the main reasons is that young adults are the most productive age group. They are vitally important for the workforce because they are likely to be highly motivated in making progress in their careers. These people are also extremely crucial to economic prosperity of the country. In most of the major companies, for instance, the majority of their employees are young adults. Another major reason is that young people are healthier and less likely to have any illness than the seniors. Therefore, the cost of healthcare for young adults are far lower than that of old people which leads to the lower budgets required to spend on health-related issues.

In conclusion, even though there are some disadvantages of having a relatively large number of young adults in a country, I am still convinced that the advantages of this situation clearly exceed its drawbacks.
